
The Technology Services Department has a long history of services to districts in Colorado and the West. In 1972, Westinghouse established a data center in Longmont, Colorado. The services focused around data processing of financial and student data using punch cards and reel-to-reel tape systems. In 1985, the ownership of the data center had changed hands and was about to change hands again when the school districts of Northern Colorado BOCES stepped in and decided to own the data center themselves.
