The Technology Services Department has a long history of services to districts in Colorado and the West. In 1972, Westinghouse established a data center in Longmont, Colorado. The services focused around data processing of financial and student data using punch cards and reel-to-reel tape systems.

In 1985, the ownership of the data center had changed hands and was about to change hands again when the school districts of Northern Colorado BOCES stepped in and decided to own the data center themselves. As a result, the Technology Services Department has grown to provide the following:

Managed Information Services (MIS): Providing data processing and management services for student and financial data.
Internet Services: E-rate Service Provider (SPIN#:143026147) providing high speed access.
Network Quality Services: Firewall, Filtering and wide area network management services.
Computer Technical Support: On-site technicians that support building level technology.
Data Analysis and Assessment: Analyze and manage assessment data as well as guide research and survey activities.
Cooperative Teacher Applicant Pool (CTAP): Collects and verifies for accuracy applications to teach with multiple school distircts.
Distance Education: Varied delivery formats using Interactive Video Systems (IVS) and the web.
Grants: Serve as fiscal agent for C2D3 Information Based Educational Practice Grant.
