Centennial BOCES - Weld Opportunity High School
Weld Opportunity High School is beginning its nineteenth year this 2005-06 school year. The goal of Weld Opportunity High School is to provide students who have not met with success at their home high school an opportunity to earn a High School diploma. In addition to the traditional academic classes, courses are offered in Career Education and Planning, Computer Information Systems, Life Skills, Teen Parenting; and ACE (Alternative Cooperative Education) where school credit is given for successful work or community service experiences. Many "partnerships" with community and business organizations contribute to the success of Weld Opportunity High School.
Weld Opportunity High School serves students from Centennial BOCES school districts: RE-1, RE-2, RE-5J, RE-7, RE-9, RE-10 and Greeley School District 6. During the 2005-06 school year, Weld Opportunity High School will serve a total of 125 full-time students. We offer curriculum that meets the specific requirements of our Weld Opportunity High School diploma, many of which will transfer to the home school should the student wish to return. We operate on a four quarter system and students are able to enter the program throughout the year, pending acceptance into the program. |
