North Central Region Migrant Education - ELL-MAC

We are very pleased with the outcomes from last year’s ELL-MAC meetings and look forward to your continued participation on this Committee.   Below are the dates for the 2006-07 North Central Region ELL - Migrant Advisory Committee. Please plan to attend the following meetings, or designate another district contact to serve in your place.

Location

All meetings will be held from 12-3 pm at the Centennial BOCES office in Greeley located at 2020 Clubhouse Drive, in the Aspen Room.  Lunch will be provided at each meeting.

Purpose

The purpose of these meetings is to address the five targeted areas from last year, as well as new issues that develop:

• Data collection
• Analysis of current service delivery to migrant students
• Identification of best practices to provide supplemental services to both attending and non-attending students
• Summer school programs and options for serving migrant students during the summer months
• Parental involvement requirements
