LETRS Training Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) addresses each component of reading instruction - phoneme awareness, decoding, spelling and word study; oral language development; vocabulary; reading fluency; comprehension; and writing - as well as the foundational concepts that link them. It also addresses the unique challenges of teaching English Language Learners (ELL), dialect speakers, and students with other learning difficulties, as well as assessment and evaluation of student performance. This training is appropriate for K-12 teachers of reading. Collaborative Learning Teams Collaborative Learning Teams (CLTs) are groups of people who come together around a specific literacy topic to study and examine their practices. CLT facilitators help organize the team and interact with them periodically throughout the study process. |
